I, Matthew Brian Plutschack ("I", "me", or "my"), value your privacy and aim to be transparent about the technologies used on my websites. This Cookie Policy explains the limited use of cookies and similar browser storage on my sites and should be read alongside my Privacy Policy.
Indexed pages currently load Google Analytics 4 to help me understand visits, traffic sources, popular pages, content performance,
campaign effectiveness, and audience behavior. Through its default implementation, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such
as _ga to distinguish users and sessions and may collect page and event data, approximate geolocation, and browser and
device information. Because Google signals, granular location and device data collection, and ads-personalization capabilities are
enabled at the property level, Google Analytics may also use data from signed-in Google users who have turned on Ads Personalization
and collect city-level location plus more detailed browser and device metadata to provide aggregated demographics, interests,
cross-device measurement, remarketing, and audience-sharing features. If linked Google advertising accounts are used, Analytics
audiences or key events may also be shared for measurement and ads personalization.
The Google Analytics property is configured to allow User-ID and user-provided data collection.
Separately, after you accept analytics cookies in the site banner, indexed pages may load Statsig Web Analytics to understand page
views, clicks, navigation behavior, form submissions, and experiment or feature-gate exposures. Statsig's web SDK stores gate and
unsent event data in localStorage, and this site sets a first-party statsiguuid cookie so a stable
identifier can be shared across MBP R&C subdomains when analytics is enabled. My MBP-owned sites also use short-lived
sessionStorage values and internal query parameters such as mbp_sid, mbp_step, and
mbp_prev_state to preserve aggregate journey context across the main site, forms, and newsletters during a browsing
session. Separately, rxn.mbp-rnc.com redirect pages record aggregate outbound campaign activity. The current
implementation does not enable Statsig Session Replay. I also use Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to review search
performance, but those tools are not browser-side cookies set by my pages.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings and clear browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage through your browser's site-data controls. Signed-in Google users can also manage Ads Personalization and activity controls through their Google account settings. Please note that blocking analytics cookies will not affect your general access to my websites, but it will limit my ability to measure traffic, experiments, user journeys, audience behavior, and advertising-related measurement.
